Empress Fate rose to power following the assassination of her mother, Brekhan Bearcharger. The young elf quickly went about removing unloyal memebers of the royal court and establishing military control of Hir’Tirith.

Following the news of Fate’s rise to power, a number of cities took the opportunity to declare themselves free and independent of the empire. Fate has demanded their subjugation or destruction from her military leaders.
